AMD added the new R3 Series SDD to its Radeon-branded SSD lineup. The new lineup is targeted at the entry-level segment, with capacities of 120 GB, 240 GB, 480 GB, and 960 GB. The R3 Series SDD combine TLC NAND flash memory with Silicon Motion SM2256KX controllers.
The 120 GB, 240 GB, and 480 GB models supporting speeds up to 520 MB/s and 960 GB model up to 510 MB/s. The 120 GB model writes at up to 360 MB/s, the 240 GB and 480 GB models at 470 MB/s, and the 960 GB model at up to 450 MB/s. All the drives are built in the 7 mm-thick 2.5-inch form factor with SATA 6 Gb/s interface.
