As we can see in AMD slides, they compared the RX 470 to their older R9 270, a GPU, which was later rebranded with higher clock speeds to become the R9 370. In AMD’s benchmarks, we can see that their new RX 470 offers at least 1.5X the performance of their older R9 270, with a maximum of 2.4x the performance in Total War Warhammer and DOOM.
The RX 460 is a GPU that is designed to be used on both mobile devices and entry-level Gaming PCs, offering much more performance than AMD’s older R9 260X while also consuming much less power.
Although leaked slides didn’t include any pricing information of AMD’s RX 460 and RX 470 GPUs, we will see them as AMD officially announce in next few days.
