ASUS announces their BRT-AC828 router with speeds up to 2Gbps

ASUS announces their new BRT-AC828 router, which features two physical WAN ports for enhanced internet speeds and the option to add an M.2 SSD to create a Mini-NAS system.


The BRT-AC828 router comes with a 4×4 antenna array which can offer Wireless Speeds of up to combined 2534Mb/s. This router can support up to 250 simultaneous wireless connections, allowing this router to provide connectivity to any small businesses, with the ability to support dual WAN connections to provide a massive bandwidth of up to 2Gbps to offer very high internet speeds.

Also, the second WAN connection can be setup as a backup in case your primary internet source fails, with the option to use a 4G LTE dongle over USB 3.0 as a secondary failsafe in the event of a connection loss which crucial for most businesses.


ASUS also included an internal built-in SATA M.2 connection, which allows this drive to be upgraded to provide users with a Mini-NAS functionality. The BRT-AC828 also comes with ASUS’ AiProtection for real-time network tracking and uses Trend Micro technology to detect malware, viruses, and other intrusions before they can reach your network devices.
