Final Thoughts and Conclusion

The performance and comfort for extended gaming sessions are most important for a gaming keyboard, and Cerberus Mech RGB did not disappoint in this area. Though my sample futures the Kaihua Black RGB switches which not ideal for gaming as it’s a heavy key switch (go with Red switch model for maximum responsiveness) still good enough for FPS/TPS games. But for MMO/MOBA gaming, the Cerberus Mech RGB keyboard is an ideal choice as it supports fully customizable macro for all keys with five different profiles to save it, you can easily set any complex macros necessity in such games.

ASUS Cerberus Mech RGB has surprised me with its build quality, and features set it offers, as I expected a plain plastic build quality just like previous Cerberus keyboards with some minor customizability. But Asus has managed to create a great looking and feeling keyboard with full RGB lighting and full customizability for each key, which not even present on much higher priced keyboards. My daily driver is Corsair K70 RGB and Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro L both of which feature Cherry MX switches and priced similar, though switching to ASUS Cerberus Mech RGB I didn’t feel that I was missing something and its cost much less than other two. ASUS Cerberus Mech RGB is priced at ₹7500 in India (Approx $109 USD) which not a bad deal for what its offers. The keyboard is available with Kaihua RGB switches – Red, Blue, Brown and a Black, but I recommend to go for Red switches for gaming, still you should do your own research which switch-type you may like. Overall ASUS Cerberus Mech RGB leaves exceptionally positive impressions with the ability to customize each key and save them on profiles with on-fly switching between them is great. In addition, the keyboard looks modern with stealthy matte black soft-touch plastic with a fully customizable RGB backlight, ASUS Cerberus Mech RGB has ticked all the right boxes, the only thing it lacks a wrist rest, but keyboard’s low profile design I don’t feel needing it, so I am giving it GOLD AWARD.
