Removing the heatsink we see the VRM MOSFETs and MLCCs nicely lead-out total of 10-phase setup which operates at both 4×2 +2 phase and controlled by an ASP1400CTB digital multi-phase controller, powered by one 8-pin and one 4-pin EPS connector. The MOSFET used are Vishay Siliconix SiC639 which is a 50A dual N-Channel MOSFET with support for very high switching frequencies and substantial efficiency couple with Nichicon FP10K black capacitors.
ASUS is always known for their high-end SupremeFX audio, with new MAXIMUS XI Hero ASUS gain, push it little higher. The Realtek ALC1220 codec is cover by EMI shielding with SupremeFX written on it. ASUS added a separate DAC, an ESS E9023P featuring SABRE technology; it supports 120dB SNR playback output and 113dB SNR recording input. The DAC is provided its own 40MHz oscillator, and Nichicon Gold series electrolytic capacitors which are design for audio grade use. For headphone output, ASUS includes a “Sonic Sense Amp” which detect the output impedance of headphones and adjusts the Amplification level, with support up to 600ohm headphones powered by an RC4580 amplifier.
