The ROG Rampage VI Extreme Omega is a more uber version of already overbuild Rampage VI Extreme, it ticks all the right boxes and then some. The board looks incredibly gorgeous with test full RGB lighting accents. As Intel added more cores to its X299 platform the power requirement dynamic changed. Anything above 12 cores are fairly power hungry, and once overclocked the power draw is massive, even boards like original Rampage VI Extreme needed some sort of fan to actively cool the VRM as it struggles to maintain the power delivery smoothly, so that where ROG Rampage VI Extreme Omega comes in with strong and powerful VRMs and added features to keep the X299 relevant even after 2 years is original release. I still think the current 10+ core processor range from Intel is incredibly difficult to justify as a similar core version Threadripper is cheaper and offers same features as Intel, yes Intel wins in performance, however, it’s almost twice as expensive per core compared to a similar core Threadripper. Now for the Rampage VI Extreme Omega really one of the best board in the market and it offers some exclusive features that other brands don’t like the DIMM2 solution, the 10 Gbps Gigabit jack, fast AC WIFI with MU-MIMO support, that OLED screen and robust BIOS as well. If you have to cash and want to go with Intel than Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme Omega is probably the board build for you.
