Dell announced the super ultrawide monitor with world’s first full workspace of Dual Quad HD monitor, in the form of the U4919DW. This 49″ monitor comes with a 5120 x 1440 resolution on a 60 Hz panel. The panel is of the IPS type with the usual LED edge lighting and 3800R curve should help users keep the monitor’s screen real-estate in their field of vision, which would be harder to do with a flat panel. The Dell U4919DW is designed as a replacement for a multi-monitor setup.
This monitor isn’t particularly designed for gamers, with its 60 Hz refresh rate 5ms response time and ludicrous resolution with 32:9 aspect ratio you probably not able to run most games anyway. As for professional, this monitor supports 99% sRGB coverage, 350 cd/m² brightness. Input options include 2x HDMI 2.0, and 1x DisplayPort 1.4 ports and USB-C. The monitor also supports dual-PC input for on-the-fly switching of machine display output, which is a bonus for such environments. The U4919DW will be available from October 26 from $1,699.
