Packaging and Overview
The GALAX RTX 2060 comes in a green color box with all the relative information on the front and a detailed feature list at the back. The noticeable info in the front is 3 years extended warranty.
Inside of the box, we find the card itself with some documentation and a Molex to 8-pin power adaptor, don’t use it, use you PSU 8-pin cable.
The GALAX RTX 2060 features a dual 90mm fan cooler and we can see some heatpipes under the fans as well.
At the back, we see a beautiful black backplate with ventilation holes.
The card is powered by one 8-pin power connector. As know, RTX 2060 doesn’t support NVLink so there is no connector for it.
The display outputs include one DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0 and DVI-D.
The cooler is attached to the backplate with six screws, to remove the cooler completely you need to disconnect power connectors for the fans.
As we can see the cooler is a giant aluminum plate with two copper heatpipe to carry heat from the core to the outer areas of the cooler. It also covers all RAM chips and VRM.
The custom PCB design holds a 4+2 VRM setup powered by a single 8-pin connector.
