MSI has showcased their upcoming AM4 series motherboards at CES 2017, which supports new AMD RYZEN CPUs and Bristol Ridge APUs. The motherboards also have support for DDR4 memory, PCIe 3.0, M.2/U.2 support and USB 3.1. AMD will announce their RYZEN and AM4 platform today at 7.20 PM IST, so we should expect MSI to officially introduce their new AM4 line by then.
As you can see in the pictures, the first board is MSI’s X370 Gaming Titanium which will be a higher-end board with full overclocking ready power design with large heatsinks and 8+4pin CPU power connectors. The board has two M.2 slots and a U.2 Port. The X370 Gaming Titanium also has an internal front USB 3.1 header.
The second board is a lower-end MSI’s B350 series Tomahawk motherboard for budget oriented AM4 motherboard. Still, it comes with features like M.2 support and VR-ready USB ports.
We expect to see much more AMD motherboards at CES from all manufacturers as the platform officially announced, stay tuned for more coverage.
