NVIDIA confirms that next driver update will fix the GTX 1000 series’ VR issues

NVIDIA confirms that the issues with GTX 1000 series not working with HTC Vive when using DisplayPort will be fixed with a future driver update.

Right now the GTX 1080 and 1070 can only use HDMI for HTC Vive, but the problem, as many users use their HDMI to connect monitor or TVs, and the most of GTX 1000 series GPUs only have a one HDMI 2.0 port. So been not able to use any DP to HDMI converter is a big issue for VR users.

A few weeks ago the reports of this issue confirmed by Tom’s Hardware, who have tested this for themselves after reading reports of this issue on the NVIDIA Geforce Forums. We also posted about this, which you can check here. We hope that NVIDIA will fix this problem on its new driver, which is expected at the end of the week.
