NVIDIA begins showing off its new Pascal architecture at GTC Japan 2015 recently.
Previously we saw Pascal, when NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang showed off a prototype board at GTC 2015 in March, but now we’re seeing an actual Pascal GPU board than we saw earlier. The new board features a Pascal GPU with 16GB of HBM2 for the consumer GeForce card and the professional cards with up to 32GB of HBM2.
The PCB design of the board is very similar to the Fiji-powered cards from AMD. But Pascal-powered cards will feature 17 billion transistors, a 4096-bit memory interface with DirectX 12 support. Expect more details as we move closer to next year.
